A daughter hopes to make up for any time lost when she gets a visit from her distant mother.

Inspired by the director's childhood in the Philippines, Home Along the Rails explores the transitory moments of happiness, and that of inevitable loneliness, from brief encounters with his parents who had to leave home and work abroad (also called OFWs) - re-examining how this incredibly complicated situation impacts the very relationship he, and many other kids who were left behind, have with their parents.
